Engineered Distressed Unfinished Hard Waxed Oiled Oak Wood Flooring
A wonderful piece of engineered oak wood flooring that has been distressed, unfinished, hard waxed, and oiled. Because of the 6mm wear layer, you can sand and refinish the surface up to four times. For the first 10 to 15 years, in the majority of residential contexts, this shouldn’t be essential. A more premium appearance is added by the hard waxed oil finish and brushed surface.
Antique distressed unfinished, this type of engineered flooring is extremely durable to variations in temperature and humidity, making it possible to install it in most rooms of the house, including conservatories, with the exception of the bathroom. Our engineered flooring materials are stable, so installing them in spaces with underfloor heating is not an issue. It is simple to glue or nail them together. This oak is of rustic quality, so it will likely have some knots, as is customary for oak items.
This engineered oak would typically be installed as a floating floor, where an underlay is set on the subfloor beneath the flooring, adding further protection from any dampness and serving as a sound barrier and insulator.
